Job Description:

Full-time Radiologic Technologist at Intermountain Medical Imaging’s (IMI) Magic View location in Meridian, Idaho, Ten Mile location in Meridian, Idaho, and Eagle Health Plaza location in Eagle, Idaho CT Technologists are responsible for performing CT on IMI outpatients at the Magic View and Ten Mile locations, and CT & Radiography exams on IMI outpatient and Saint Alphonsus Emergency Department patients at the Eagle Health Plaza location. Work independently as well as part of the IMI team to provide excellent patient care. Includes holiday rotation to cover 2 holidays per year at our Eagle Health Plaza location. No inpatients and no on-call time!

Minimum Qualifications:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Radiography

Preferred Qualifications:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Computed Tomography

Experience working in a radiology setting

Excellent computer skills with knowledge of radiology software

Positive and professional attitude

Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Familiarity with Toshiba/Canon and GE CT equipment and Carestream X-ray equipment

Responsibilities:

Perform CT exams at an outpatient facility

Perform CT & Radiography exams at an outpatient/free-standing emergency department facility

Work closely with radiologists on exam protocols

Navigate different computer software programs to perform and document exams

Communicate with team members, medical offices, and providers to ensure exams are performed correctly

Job Summary:

The CT Imaging Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising IMI’s CT technologists and technologist support staff, overseeing patient care, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Duties:

  • Exemplifies IMI’s Prime Directive (Mission, Vision, Values) in the performance of all duties and interactions with staff and other Supervisors and management.
  • Is familiar with the operations at each IMI locations and works at any IMI location as needed for training and coverage purposes.
  • Is regularly scheduled to perform CT scans.
  • Recruits, screens and on boards CT technologists.
  • Coordinates with the Director of Outpatient Imaging Services to ensure adherence to accepted imaging protocols and procedures.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, counseling, and continuing education to staff.
  • Will select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff.
  • Works with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsels staff when clinical practice standards are not met.
  • Forecast growth opportunity and anticipated efficient staffing levels.
  • Coordinates technologist schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Coordinates the work of CT Tech Assistants and other support staff in conjunction with Tech Assistant Supervisor, Tech Assistant Leads, and other applicable supervisors.
  • Collaborates with all members of care provision team to share knowledge and plan for optimal outcomes.
  • Serves as administrative authority for the smooth function of applicable modalities.
  • Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices.
  • Serves as a CT expert and resource to technologists and other staff.
  • Coordinates, leads, and participates in quality initiatives and process improvements.
  • Ensures the proper functioning of departmental equipment by scheduling and overseeing maintenance with contracted service partners.
  • Performs regular performance reviews of direct reports including annual reviews’
  • Assists with and ensures regular performance reviews by department leads.
  • Holds staff accountable for performance including performance improvement plans following IMI policy and procedure.
  • Assist with budget planning and clinical needs assessments related to CT equipment.
  • Practice guidelines specific to ALARA policy (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
  • Responsible for compliance with all CT accreditation requirements as applicable and coordinates with lead CT technologists as needed for ACR Accreditation.
  • Identify patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Responsible for ensuring patient care needs are met through effective management of staffing resources and operations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Maintain high level of competence in the operation and use of assigned imaging modalities and equipment.
  • Understand, apply, and teach operations policies and procedures applicable to all aspects of the work performed by direct reports.

  • Assures that all exams have a physician written order, consents signed when indicated and adequate patient history is acquired.
  • Meets or exceeds departmental key performance indicators.
  • Digitizes and provides the correct images and reports from outside films necessary for comparison to medical imaging done at IMI.
  • Maintains a high level of competence in all department technology and applications (e.g., PACS, RIS, imaging sharing platforms, etc.).
  • Assures that all paperwork and computer database entries are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for staying current with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Attends meetings as outlined and in compliance with department-specific expectations.
  • Adopt a growth mindset and an eye for continuous improvement by leveraging process improvement methodologies and tools.

  • Hourly range $47 to $51.40, Depending on Qualifications & Experience.
