Please note: The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Cures Act Final Rule established new regulations supporting “seamless and secure access, exchange, and use of electronic health information (EHI).” Under the new rules, delaying the availability of results to patients is considered an interference. Based on this ruling, IMI no longer has a 4-day hold on patients accessing their images and reports via the IMI patient portal.
